We are loving our new little guy so much! Wow we forgot how much work this is! We spend our days and nights asking ourselves, is he really hungry? Was that a burp or a grunt? It has been so neat to have Jess home! 6 weeks paternity leave is the greatest! Jess has been sprayed by poop several times during diaper changes and remained focused. It is amazing how happy a little poop or burp can make you feel when you know it directly correlates to the amount of sleep you will get. Benji has been doing so great he lost his cord and had gained weight at his first check up. He does however prefer to sleep being held. He has 3 beds but he doesn't sleep in any of them. I don't actually mind the cuddling, but it doesn't make for great sleep. I just tell myself, I have waited 7 years for this, relax and enjoy what a perfect miracle he is. We have had lots of visitors and meals for 7 days! Thanks so much for spoiling us!

We Did it!

Well just to go along with the pregnancy, we got hit by a crazed lady with no liscense on the way to the Hospital Wed morning. We arrived only an hour late in the huge, incident response truck. Jess's car was towed and the car seat we spent and hour hooking in just right came with us. The important part, we were all safe and doing great! My doctor is so wonderful and things went really smoothly and I did better than ever. The first epidural did not work so I got a bit nervous about my "birth plan" because that was my only plan. But I was numb and laughing as I was pushing him out! It was FUN! He made his appearance at 2:31 pm. He is 7lbs 12oz, 20 inches long and amazingly his head measured average. He is so calm and sweet! His little chin looks just like Calebs did. His nose and corners of his eyes are bruised from being stuck. We ended up choosing a whole new name, it just clicked. We named him Benjamin Spencer Meikle. We will call him Benji, Benj, Benny, Ben or Griff for those who are still holding on. I am feeling so good! Walking around and not needing pain meds. Jess is super dad and the boys are in heaven. Benji is being held pretty much every second and we still can't get enough of him. I am "Overwhelmed" with love, too the point of exploding- I love to hold him and drink in his smell! We all just sit and stare at each little face and move he makes. What an incredible gift from God!

The Day Has Come!

I am being induced in the morning! The past 5 days have been crazy with false alarms. I can tell our little man has a huge head just dying to dig its way out! My waddle has gone to a whole new extreme! On Saturday night I was on the treadmill trying to get my contractions to last, now that the day is here, I am not sure I am ready. I think it may be too late to back out! We will keep you updated and hope that inspiration strikes for a name I can feel good about! My cute friends gave me a shower and we are all set. As you can see from the pictures I am hoping to drop a couple 20 lbs in the morning!
